PASO presents in Lyon an Architecture to Heal the Systemic Disconnection of Global Health

On April 8, in Lyon (France), PASO Global will present the Spaces of Care – Pakistan–Colombia Partnership at the OSH Factory. This project offers a profound solution to the systemic fissure that currently fragments human well-being in the world’s most vulnerable regions.

The Real Fissure: A Health System Without “Care” The crisis in global health is not merely a lack of clinical access; it is a structural failure to integrate the very concept of Care. The current “fissure” is defined by:

  • Programmatic Silos: Health interventions that operate in isolation from one another and their environment.
  • Lack of Recognition: The systemic dismissal of community-led care, traditional knowledge, and ancestral medicine.
  • Environmental Blindness: A medical model that ignores pollution and ecosystem health as the root causes of disease.

Spaces of Care builds the “Integrative Layer” that is currently missing. Through Care Hubs, the project harmonizes clinical protocols with traditional healing, environmental monitoring via IoT sensors, and the formalization of the care economy. We don’t just discharge patients; we reconnect them to a functional Local Care Ecosystem.

From Colombia’s ERAs to Pakistan’s Health Network Rooted in the success of the ERAs (Alternative Rural Schools) in Colombia, this model proves that health is a reweaving of social bonds. In the Sindh region of Pakistan, we are linking the Lady Health Worker network with a digital Care API and Commitment Pools to transform invisible labor into professionalized, sustainable livelihoods.

This pilot demonstrates that health is an ecological and cultural equilibrium. It is a call to move beyond silos and build a global infrastructure of One Sustainable Health.
